From the recording Can't Help But Wonder

This song came to Ray early one morning.
The lyrics talk about normal misgivings one
may experience when giving one's life to the
Lord. The song is a prayer to Jesus. "There
is no other who lived so lovingly" is one of
Ray's favorite lines. Catherine sings
this very difficult melody in an amazing
fashion. Ray adds a very eerie and original
harmonica to the song.(See the lyrics below).

Can’t Help But Wonder

Verse One:

If I give you my heart, will you take my soul?
If I make a new start, place me on the road?
Can’t help but wonder what will become of me.
There is no other except you who can help me . . . on my knees.

Verse Two:

If I give you my past, will my future change?
Will these feelings last, won’t go back again?
Can’t help but wonder what will become of me.
There is no other except you who can save me . . . eternally.

Verse Three:

Jesus, you are the One I bet my life on.
You showed me the way to really change.
There is no other who lived so lovingly,
A friend and brother, a God who relates to me . . . personally.
